摘要

Over the last decade, technology advances have opened up a way to faster development time and reduced cost access to space exploration through miniaturized satellites commonly known as Nano-satellites or CubeSats, these types of satellites are mainly dedicated to experimenting scientific missions and are playing an important role for assessing new developed technologies in space. In this paper, we propose the employment of Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs) as a photosensor for a gamma-ray detector payload, so, detailed studies on SiPMs devices and their favorable features for space experiment are involved, first investigations on the design of the readout and digital processing are undertaken to take into considerations the CubeSat constraints. Observation results of simulated response, simulated front-end electronic and digital processing approach are presented.
