RADIATION OF THE PLANE PLASMA LAYER WITH A SMALL ANGLE OF BENDING
摘要
Plasma antennas are the subject of intense theoretical and experimental studies. The so-called loop antennas representing curved gas discharge tubes filled with cold plasma can be regarded as one of the types of the plasma antennas. The angle and the curvature radius of the tube exert a significant influence on the pattern and radiation intensity of the above antenna. This paper provides a theoretical study of the plasma loop antenna simulation, which is represented by a plane layer of plasma on a metal substrate with a small angle of bending. Radiation patterns and energy transformation coefficients of the surface wave are calculated for various parameters of the problem. It is shown that up to 10% of the surface wave energy is converted into radiation at the angle of bending of 0.3 rad. Radiation patterns have one lobe with a maximum at sharp angles.
