Analysis of the Field Radiated by a Monopole Located on an Impedance Hemispherical Bulge Above a Screen

ABSTRACT

The Green function technique is used to determine the radiation field from a thin radial monopole. The monopole is placed on a hemispherical bulge above a screen and is excited near its mounting point by a delta-impulse generator. The plane infinite screen is assumed to be perfectly conducting, while the surface of the hemispherical bulge is characterized by a distributed complex-valued impedance. The radiation characteristics of the structure are analyzed numerically in dependence on its geometric and electric parameters.
