ABSTRACT

Method for calculating the scattered power in the long-range tropospheric propagation (LRTP) of radio waves are briefly analyzed. It is shown that the Gordon calculation procedure which is most frequently used for the scheme of zero heights can be simply generalized for the case of antenna height zero values. According to this simplified calculation procedure that we suggest, an error does not exceed 2 dB in comparison to more accurate (but with regard to particular cases) calculation procedures.
