Finite-Element Modeling of Acousto-Optical Devices for Discrete Signal Processing
摘要
The design of digital acousto-optical devices involves a rather complex stage of modeling the physical process of optical-acoustic wave interaction in the acousto-optic medium, which requires application of numerical methods. This paper employs the vector finite-element time-domain technique for modeling the acousto-optic interaction in an area of finite size. The angular separations between the zeroth- and first-order diffractional maxima that have been obtained correspond to the physical diffraction model.
