ABSTRACT

The aspects of ensuring reliable ionospheric plasma drift velocity measurements using the incoherent scattering method are considered. The substantiation of sounding signal and incoherent scattering radar is presented. The considered results of measurements of height and temporal variations of vertical plasma drift velocity define the dynamics of the F-region of the mid-latitude ionosphere of the European region under quiet and changing geophysical conditions.
