Multithreshold Decoders for Channels with a High Noise Level

ABSTRACT

We consider a class of multithreshold algorithms of decoding, which make practically optimal decoding of interference-resistant codes with linearly complex implementation in a broad range of code rates and noise levels in the channel. The problems of using this method in cascaded schemes of coding are discussed. Hardware implementation of multithreshold algorithms of decoding on PLTS Xilinx crystals is described.
