摘要

It has been found that Euglena gracilis proved to be tolerant to the influence of the concentrations of phenol carbonic acids, including gallic, caffeic, and benzoic acids, inhibiting growth processes in representatives of Cyanoprokaryota. These concentrations of phenol carbonic acids even stimulated the growth of the alga cultivated both on the mineral and on the organic cultural medium (with the addition of glucose). It is likely that the presence of Euglenophyta in the thickets of higher aquatic plants is conditioned by their capability to consume organic matter, including biologically active substances, excreted by macrophytes.
