Lipid Metabolism in Nuclei of Muscular Cells of the Freshwater Fishes at Adaptation to the Zinc and Cadmium Ions Impact

ABSTRACT

The changes of the lipid content of the cell nuclei of white muscles of carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) and pike (Esox lucsus L.) under the imppact of Zn2+ and Cd2+ were studied. Content of non-polar lipids, phospholipids and relation of their fractions were shown to change under the impact of both metals. Lipid composition adaptation is aimed at mobilization of separate fractions pool in order to modulate lipid bilayer to counteract metal ions impact.
