ABSTRACT

In this article, we have investigated analytically the influence of thermal diffusion and radiation on unsteady magnetohydrodynamic, free-convective flow of an electrically conducting, viscous incompressible fluid past an impulsively moving isothermal porous plate and for the case of ramped wall temperature and ramped wall concentration. The nondimensional governing equations are solved in closed form by using Laplace transform method. Exact solutions for velocity, temperature, and concentration are obtained. With the aid of these expressions, skin friction, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are derived. The effects of various physical parameters on the above flow equations are studied numerically with the help of graphs and tables.
