ABSTRACT

The results of experimental investigation of the resistance of contact appara-tuses with packing made of porous elements, stacked immediately adjacent to each other along a helical line, are given. An empirical dependence for the calcu-lation of the resistance of the apparatuses is obtained. The specific resistances of regular packing of various types are compared, and the advantages of porous packing are exhibited.
