Simulation of the Limiting Enhancement of Heat Transfer in Tubes by Artificial Turbulization of a Flow for Different Heat Carriers with Constant and Variable Thermophysical Properties

ABSTRACT

A theoretical model has been developed for calculating the limiting isothermal and nonisothermal values of resistance and heat transfer rate under the conditions of the enhancement of the latter in tubes by means of flow turbulization. The model describes the corresponding processes for a wide range of Reynolds and Prandtl numbers, which allows one to predict the reserves of heat transfer enhancement with a much higher accuracy than the methods available.
