摘要
In this essay I discuss the impact of postmodern thinking on the practice of contemporary medicine, focusing on "alternative medicine" and its origins (at least in part) in a postmodern world view. I take the position that postmodern thinking has led to a belief in some circles that the current evidence-based, positivist approach to clinical management should be abandoned. I suggest that such thinking is not without its attendant dangers.
