OBLIQUE INCIDENCE OF AN ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE ON A PLANE TWO-ELEMENT SCREEN OF FINITE THICKNESS CONTAINING RECTANGULAR OPENINGS
摘要
As has been found, the frequency dependence shown by the reflection factor (absolute magnitude) of an electromagnetic wave obliquely incident on a screen is essentially similar to such of a normally incident wave. The frequencies of high-Q total transmission and total reflection resonances, as well as of the resonant "anomalous" transmission through undersized openings are shifted either towards higher or towards lower values. The sense of this shift is determined by the mode of excitation of the screen and allocation of basic cell centers within the aperture plane. The case of oblique incidence is characterized by yet another effect of “anomalous” resonant total transmission through undersized rectangular openings. Using a screen with a skew lattice of openings permits obtaining a much broader range of operating frequencies compared with the rectangular lattice.
