Communities of periphytic algae in the sections of release of heated water into the cooling ponds of thermal and nuclear power plants of Ukraine
摘要
Characteristics of the periphyton algal communities developing in the sections subjected to considerable heating in the cooling pond of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant as well as in the cooling ponds of the Burshtyn, Dobrotvorsk, Ladyzhyn, Kurakhov, Mironovka, Starobeshevo, Slavyansk, and Uglegorsk Thermal Electric Power Plants located in Ukraine are presented. It has been found that similar algal communities with dominance of Cyanophyta occurred on solid inorganic substrata in the sections with similar temperature regime in different cooling ponds. In the sections subjected to considerable heating (depending on the degree and constancy of heating), algal communities with dominance of Lyngbya putealis Mont., or L. aestuarii (Mert.) Liebm. occurred.
