Differential mathematical models of studies of the abnormal and emergency modes of power systems are proposed. The discussed methods allow one to perform the spectral analysis of the abnormal and emergency modes of power systems in the field of differential images. Methods for the analysis of individual harmonic components of dynamic processes, calculation of spectral density and correlation functions are given.
