T1 The Interaction of Electrons with Transversal and Longitudinal Components of the High-Frequency Field in a Clinotron-Type Oscillator JF Telecommunications and Radio Engineering JO TRE YR 2008 FD 2008-03-07 VO 67 IS 1 SP 53 OP 75 AB A new physical model of the electrons interaction with a high-frequency field close to the surface of the slow-wave structure is investigated theoretically taking into consideration the real distribution of high-frequency fields. It is shown that the interaction with the transversal electrical field induces the selective settling of the electrons on the comb lamellae, and the power-takeoff from the modulated electron beam occurs in the slot resonators. The observed experimentally near-perfect synchronism of electrons with a spatial field harmonic is explained. The possibility of the clinotron operation with large transit angles of electrons through slot resonators is demonstrated.
