T1 ISSUES OF PRACTICAL USE OF THE SHORT-RANGE RADIOLOCATION SYSTEM BASED ON ULTRASHORT PULSES WITH SMALL ENERGY CONSUMPTION JF Journal of Radio Electronics JO JRE YR 2012 FD 2012-11-16 VO 1 IS 1 OP 0 K1 short-range radiolocation K1 ultrashort pulses K1 ultrabroadband signals K1 single-chip transceiver K1 sensor AB Problems of the specific use of specialized element components to create short-range radar system on the basis of ultrashort pulses with low power consumption, based on a single-chip transceiver without the use of high-speed ADC, are discussed. The results of laboratory measurements of system parameters are presented. The possibilities for the practical use of the system as a sensor for the people detection in the protected area, a sensor for the obstacle detection in model-based vision system, a sensor for remote measurement and monitoring of human breathing and heartbeat parameters in medicine or when performing work related with an increased risk, a portable radar for the people detection behind the obstacles, or buried under the rubble of building structures, snow avalanches, and training laboratory equipment are demonstrated.
