One form of collaboration was between the two faculty members, who work in different disciplines and embraced different pedagogical approaches, and the other was between one of those faculty members and her students. Written collaboratively as well, this essay describes the process of changing the course and includes both faculty members' and students' perspectives on those changes. The discussion of this process highlights the benefits of forging and sustaining vital connections between and among teachers, learners, and their subject matter. %8 2003-05-19
