Binary bispectral code generated through multi-frequency triplet-signal pulses is developed to combat fading. Distinctive features are given in the triplet-signals in the form of phase coupling. Decision making rule is based on the extraction the maximum peak values evaluated in the form of triplet-signal bispectrum magnitudes. The purpose of this paper is to examine the performance of the binary communication system operating under multipath Rayleigh and Rician radio channels, as well as under influence of Gaussian noise, random signal translations and Doppler frequency shifts. The probability of bit error at the decoder output is determined by computer simulations. Comparison of the performances provided by suggested bispectral code and known frequency redundant code has been accomplished. Computer simulation results illustrate less sensitivity of the proposed bispectral code to the fading, additive Gaussian noise, random signal translations and Doppler frequency shifts. For the radio communication channels considered in this paper, bispectrum-based technique under identical initial conditions provides better performance as compared with known multi-frequency and frequency redundant methods.
