Problems of Applying Regenerative Heat Exchangers in Aviation Gas-Turbine Engines
摘要
The paper has considered an urgent problem of reducing specific fuel consumption in small gas-turbine aviation engines operating in a cruising power mode by applying exhaust gas regenerative heat exchangers. Has analyzed tendencies for the development of small aviation gas-turbine engines, has determined the appearance of small regenerative engines progressed to the level of the year 1990 and also the appearance of promising ceramic regenerative engines of a technical level in years to come after the year 2000.
Has considered problems and contents of design and experimental investigations which must be carried out to create aviation regenerative engines of acceptable mass and dimensions and operating characteristics.
