Abstract

A numerical method is proposed for the solution of axisymmetric radiative heat transfer problems in irregular domains with Fresnel interfaces. This method is a combination of the discrete ordinates and ray tracing methods. It does not practically suffer from numerical diffusion. The method can be straightforwardly generalized to three-dimensional problems.
