Abstract

A theoretical model of thermal radiation transfer in a semi-transparent liquid containing gas bubbles is suggested. The model includes an approximation of spectral radiative properties of the disperse system and approximate two-step procedure of radiation transfer calculation. Calculations for water with vapour bubbles showed that scattering of radiation by bubbles affect considerably the absorbed radiation power. Possible application of the new model to the conjugated problem of interaction of high-temperature thermal radiation with boiling water is discussed.
