摘要

The influence of wall radiation on turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection in an air-filled parallelepipedic enclosure is studied numerically by comparing data obtained from 3D Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) for convection-surface radiation coupling and 3D Large Eddy Simulations (LES) for pure convection. Simulations have been performed in an experimental configuration [1] at Rayleigh number Ra = 1.6·106. It has been shown that the surface radiation enhances the horizontal velocity accordingly to the experimental data. The asymmetrical influence of the radiation is observed on the convective or radiative Nusselt number, but the convective Nusselt number at wall is not modified by the radiation. The wall-radiation reduces the convective heat flux over half the cavity height due to the lateral radiative heat transfers, and particularly the turbulent convective heat flux.
