Abstract

For the investigation of the resonant characteristic of combustion chambers we need an appropriate inlet condition that generates physical turbulent data for large-eddy simulation with low effort. We implemented the recently proposed method of Jarrin et al. [1] and extended it for compressible flows. We validated the method with the case of the spatially decaying isotropic turbulence. The computed results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
