摘要
We report on the progress of the Lorentz force velocimetry (LFV): a contactless non-invasive flow velocity measurement technique for liquid metals and other conducting fluids by measuring the restoring force at a permanent magnet behind a pipe or duct wall. This method has been developed and demonstrated for various applications in our institute [1] and in industry [2]. New results of flow measurement in very weakly conducting fluid with improved force measurement techniques and non-symmetrical flow profiles are presented.
