Abstract

To understand the behaviour of complex physical phenomena it is most desirable to get optical information of processes in addition to other measured informations and it is obviously necessary to correlate the pictures with the signals. This paper will give an overview of the experimental work on understanding the condensation phenomena occurring in a pressure suppression system during a LOCA (Loss Of Coolant Accident).
