SIGNAL PROCESSING OF RADAR VELOCIMETER OF AGRICULTURAL VEHICLES
ABSTRAKT
Combined sensor of velocity and slipping coefficient of agricultural vehicles is described, which is based on Doppler radar of millimeter range of wavelengths measured actual speed, and Hall sensor measured wheel rotation. Statistics of underlying surface irregularities was studied for different types of agricultural land to determine the requirements to the signal processing and beam width of radar antenna. Unit of signal processing and indication display was also developed on the base of microcontroller. Laboratory tests to estimate measurement error of the sensor, as well as in-situ measurements of slipping coefficient and actual velocity during cultivation of a field were performed.
