Mathematical Model of the Diffraction from a Thick Not Uniform Diaphragm in a Flat Waveguide

ABSTRAKT

In this paper we discuss the problem of diffraction of an electromagnetic wave by a thick inhomogeneous diaphragm in a parallel-plate waveguide. Our approach is based on the analytical method of Boundary Singular Integral Equations (SIE)[1]. We develop a discrete mathematical model and numerical algorithm using the technique from [4]. We assume that the vertical boundaries of the waveguide and diaphragm are perfectly conducting and the horizontal surfaces of the diaphragm are impedance. For realization of a numerical experiment, we use data represented in [6].
