EFFECTIVE SIGNAL DETECTION FOR THE SPATIAL MULTIPLEXING MIMO SYSTEMS

ABSTRAKT

MIMO technologies represent one of the important trends of development for the telecommunication systems. However, development of the MIMO technologies sets, at the same time, new challenges before the researchers and developers. Demodulation of large arrays of the signals requiring very high computational costs is a critical issue at implementation of broad capabilities of the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channels. The paper suggests the signal detection algorithm for the spatial multiplexing MIMO systems, which algorithm allows performing efficient detection of the signals at a large number of antennas due to the required decreasing of the space dimensionality of the detected signals, selection of the required quality of detection and control over the detection-related computational costs. The results of computer simulation are provided for the MIMO systems with a large number of antennas at the transmitter and receiver terminals.
