Polar Non-Uniformity of Ionosphere Related to Solar Proton Events
ABSTRAKT
We perform the formal analysis and present the numerical modeling data showing that a polar non-uniformity of the lower ionosphere arises during powerful Solar proton events (SPE), which is able to noticeably change the spectra of the global electromagnetic (Schumann) resonance. Modifications are discussed of resonance spectra, their dependence on the source and observer position. Computational data are compared with observations performed in 2000 − 2003. An interpretation is given for the experimental data. Polar-uniformity parameter is evaluated from the Schumann resonance.
