Microwave Propagation Factor at Small Grazing Angle Over Sea: The Model of Multiple Knife-Edge Diffraction
ABSTRAKT
he particularities of the microwave propagation factor over the wind-disturbed sea surface have been investigated by numerical method using the multiple knife-edge diffraction model. The case of low grazing angles and small height of the receiver over the surface has been considered. It is demonstrated that such a model allows to explain experimentally observed peculiarities of the field at the receiver height compared with that of the sea waves, in particular, essentially higher values of the propagation factor than the ones predicted through Kirchhoff approximation.
