Resonant Microwave Compressor in a Transmitter of Nonlinear Pulse Radar

ABSTRAKT

Scale-model's characteristics and results of the research of the resonant microwave compressor are presented. Such a compressor increases power and shortens the pulse width of the pulses exciting its storage resonant cavity. The given source of the output microwave pulses (peak power — 240 kW; pulsewidth — 10 ns; frequency of repetition — 100 Hz; carrier frequency — 934 MHz) is used in the transmitter of the scale-model of the harmonic radar. The bandwidth of the receiver is not less than 120 MHz.
