Resonance-Focusing Properties of a Multifocal Open Resonator with an Extended Inhomogeneity
ABSTRAKT
The effect of the extended inhomogeneities in the form of a reflection diffraction grating (RDG) on the resonance-focusing properties of a multifocal open resonator (MOR) with a small focal parameter is studied. It is shown that the inhomogeneity of the "plane insert" type has a weak effect on the resonance-focusing properties of MOR. The inhomogeneity of the "full-length RDG" type influences the properties of MOR by splitting and symmetrically extending its wave focuses. It is revealed that this effect can be depressed by using the plane inserts and RDG's located in turn in the adjoining focuses. In our opinion, the application of MOR's in the orotron microwave sources can be promising.
