Dynamics of a Wave Spectrum in Beam-Plasma Systems

ABSTRAKT

The dynamics of beam-plasma instability, taking into account a wide spectrum of raised Langmuir oscillations, is considered. It is shown that at an initial stage, oscillations close to resonant are generated with increments predicted by linear theory. Further, with a delay on the order of ten inverse linear increments the oscillations on multiple frequencies begin to grow. After that, the redistribution of energy throughout the entire spectrum and the establishment of practically uniform energy distribution on frequencies (with a poorly expressed maximum on the resonant frequency) is realised at times on the order of 30 inverse linear increments.
