ABSTRAKT

It is suggested a new modification of the open resonant system for the diffraction radiation oscillator (DRO) in which the resonant properties of stepwise heterogeneity in the form of a groove on a mirror in order to increase the spatial harmonics amplitude of the diffraction grating and to decrease the diffraction losses for the fundamental TEM00q mode are used. The results of the numerical analysis of mode properties in the open resonator with various depth of the groove are provided. Results of experimental researches of DRO are demonstrated in 4-mm and 5-mm wave bands.
