ABSTRAKT

Based on the matrizer technique, indicatrices of the phase vector and phase and group velocities have been firstly constructed in analytical form for TE and TM electromagnetic waves in a monoclinic crystal. A representation has been derived for the energy flux in such an anisotropic medium, and coincidence of the direction of the respective vector with the group velocity direction of the electromagnetic wave is demonstrated.
