Gaussian Expansions of the Radiation from the Open End of a Line with Impedance Boundaries
ABSTRAKT
Two-parametric expansions of the near- and far-fields in the orthogonal basis of the Laguerre-Gauss functions are suggested for aperture distributions with two planes of symmetry. The expansions take into account the effect of impedance boundaries of the radiator and allow calculating characteristics of the antenna feeds based on lines with impedance boundaries over a broad frequency range. Distributions of the radiation intensities from the open end of a two-layer dielectric waveguide in a metal screen are presented for the non-resonance range of surface impedance variations. Relative magnitudes of the errors resulting from truncation of the expansion are analyzed, and comparison with measurements is performed.
