RADIATION PROPERTIES OF HETEROGENEOUS ANTENNA ARRAY

ABSTRAKT

The construction of the antenna array of heterogeneous aperture radiators based on sectorial horn antennas of the Ka-band with different aperture dimensions exceeding the wavelength has been originally proposed. Solution results of the optimization problem showed that use of radiating elements with unequal rectangular aperture dimensions arranged in the form of concentric "rings" on the antenna array aperture provides the formation of a narrow beam pattern and suppression of the diffraction lobes at the edges of the scan sector to a level of –17 dB, when the amplification coefficient is reduced by no more than 1 dB. The proposed antenna system was designed for electrical scanning with a needle-shaped beam in orthogonal planes.
