Approximate Analysis Method for Multiservice Cellular Networks with the Buffer for Data Calls

ABSTRAKT

A numerical method for calculating the parameters of quality of service (QoS) metrics in multi-service cellular networks, which allow the formation of bounded or unbounded queues for data calls, is proposed. The access of voice calls is controlled via two-parameter strategy, and access of data calls is determined using one threshold parameter. The decision of access of different types of voice calls is made on the basis of information on the total number of busy channels of the cell, the corresponding decision to call the data is determined by the total length of the queue of the calls of the specified type.
