The Concept of Nonlinear Trade-Off Schemes in Multicriteria Problems

Consideration is given to theoretical foundations of concept of nonlinear trade-off scheme in multicriteria problems of estimation and optimization. The optimality principle "out of limits" is proposed where those decisions are regarded as the preferable in which the partial criteria are the farthest from their maximum permissible values. On this basis the selection problem of traditional schemes of compromise is transformed into the task of building a single universal scalar convolution of criteria which is appropriate to the given situation.
