ABSTRAKT

The present study reviews advancement made in the field of coir fiber-reinforced natural rubber composites. Natural rubber is a great source for manufacturing composite materials because of the availability of various forms of rubber. In addition to coir fiber, the article also covers different fibers that can be used as reinforcement for natural rubber. Although natural rubber has been studied for many years already, yet there is a lot to explore. The article highlights significant contributions in the field of natural fiber/rubber composites made by various researchers in recent years and concludes with the use of coir fiber as reinforcement for natural rubber composites.
