Tissue Peculiarities of Antioxidant System of the Bivalve Mollusk Anadara inaequivalvis
ABSTRAKT
Tissue-specific peculiarities of the antioxidant (AO) system and lipid peroxidation (LPO) of the bivalve mollusk Anadara inaequivalvis have been studied. Maximal activity of glutathione peroxidase, high glutathione content and low TBA-active products content were revealed in Anadara's podium. In hepatopancreas was observed maximal intensity of LPO and higher activity of glutathione reductase, catalase and superoxide dismutase as compared with podium. Among considered tissues maximal activity of AO system enzymes and minimal glutathione content were noted in gills.
