Phenotypic Variability of Bivalve Mollusk Anadara kagoshimensis (Bivalvia, Arcidae) of the Azov − Black Sea Basin
ABSTRAKT
Phenotypic variability of the bivalve mollusk Anadara kagoshimensis (Tokunaga, 1906) was investigated. Significant differences of morphometric indexes of the shells between populations from different parts of the western, north-western, north-eastern shelf of the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait were noted. Effects of the habitat depth, character of bottom sediment and salinity on the shell shape were estimated.
