ABSTRAKT

The structure of phyto- and zooplankton was studied in the model ecosystem (the experimental pond) with an extremely high concentration of inorganic compounds of nitrogen (N-NH4+ − 60.0–862.9, N-NO2- − 0.62–9.88, and N-NO3- − 24.2–105.9 mg/L) in the aquatic environment. Phytoplankton was represented by Chlorophyta, Bacillariophyta, Euglenophyta, and Cyanoprokaryota with a predominance of green algae, whereas zooplankton – by Rotatoria, Cladocera, and Copepoda with a predominance of Rotatoria and Cladocera. Phyto- and zooplankton structure was characterized by a predominance of eurybionts, by a small number of dominant species, and by the biomass accounting for 0.1–5.7 and 0.001–6.4 g/m3, respectively. The maximal biomass was registered in representatives of green algae (Chlorella sp., Kirchneriella irregularis (Smith) Korshikov, and Ankistrodesmus fusiformis Corda), Rotatoria (Brachionus rubens Ehrenberg), and Cladocera (Moina macrocopa Straus and Daphnia magna Straus).
