Trophic Competition of Common Sculpin and Stone Loach with Juvenile Salmons of Gen. Salmo in Tributaries of the Onega Lake
ABSTRAKT
Over summer there is no food competition of juvenile salmon and brown trout with common sculpin and stone loach because of different diets. In winter food spectra are almost similar, however feeding activity is low and thus food competition is also negligible. Food competition of both juvenile salmons with sculpin and especially with stone loach is noted in autumn, when the feeding activity is high, whereas aerial insects are absent and diet consists exclusively of aquatic invertebrates.
