EFFECT OF MAGNETIC FIELD ON A CHARGED JET

ABSTRAKT

A magnetic field initiated by a U-shape electromagnet is applied in the electrospinning process. The current in the jet, under the magnetic field, produces a couple of Ampere forces, leading to the straightening of the whipping circle. The heat of the charged jet increases with the magnetic intensity. As a result, the stability condition is enormously improved, and the radius becomes much smaller than that without a magnetic field.
