ABSTRAKT

The results obtained in the study of the elemental and phase composition, as well as the defect substructure of iron alloys surface layer (armco-iron and steel 45), subjected to electroexplosive alloying by aluminum, are presented. The formation of nanosized particles of the second phase based on aluminum and iron (iron aluminides and aluminum−carbide) has been revealed. It was shown that the modification of steel 45 structure is accompanied by magnification of microhardness (4 times) and durability (3 times) of the surface layer.
