ABSTRAKT

The influence of acoustic perturbations and free-stream turbulence on the laminar-turbulent transition in the boundary layer on a non-swept wing model with the LV6 laminarized airfoil developed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) (Germany) is considered. Acoustic perturbations with acoustic pressures of 91-108 dB induce only a minor upstream shift of the transition starting point as compared with the previously studied natural transition. External turbulence with an intensity of 0.61−0.91% initiates the laminar-turbulent transition on the model in the vicinity of the leading edge at subcritical Reynolds numbers.
