EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON THE WASTE OIL COMBUSTION BURNER FOR ENERGY SAVING AND LOW-POLLUTION
ABSTRAKT
The purpose of this study was to develop a waste oil combustion burner that is able to atomize high viscous waste oil using little energy and reducing air pollutants. The burner developed in this study consists of an internal mixing twin-fluid atomizer in which waste oil and atomizing air are mixed in the mixing chamber and the flame holder using the optimum structure. The results of this study indicated that high combustion efficiencies of waste oil are possible with little expenditure of energy (i.e., atomizing air consumption is relatively small) and secondary air, e.g., provided by a blower, is not needed. The flame is mainly luminous, but there is no black exhaust smoke and the NOx and CO exhaust emissions are low.
